Air Marking was on site and finished the had cart work from Chippewa to Ewing on Main Street and Michigan.

Reith Riley poured the last of the cross walks and sidewalk at DonMoyer North East corner and south West Corner. They also poured the last of the side walk across from the tire barn on Michigan where the strain pole was located.

1.       Traffic Closure Updates

A.       Colfax/Jefferson/Washington/Wayne: Washington will be closed Monday between Main and Michigan for sewer work should be take 3 days.

                                        B.       Saint Joe : Wendseday traffic will be switched to the west side of Saint Joe from the east side. Side streets on Saint Joe will see delays as paving the intersections take place from Bronson to Colfax.

Utility Relocation Issues:

Robert Henry: 

1.       Status at Monroe: work should be completed at Monroe and on Monday and Patched back on Tuesday. Surface will be a couple of days later.

2.       Washington and other side streets that need to be striped. Robert Henry still has work to do on Washington a little on Jefferson and on Michigan from Colfax to Wayne. Robert Henry will move off Jefferson next week to allow for the Sewer work and will work on Michigan between Colfax and Washington starting at the north working south.

NIPSCO/InfraSource:   Restoration is the only work left Leighton Plaza brickwork can now get underway since the bike path is in.

Transpo:     When traffic switches to the west side of Saint next week. Temporary bus stop signs need to be placed at the saint Joe Tower along with a temporary sign that sys yield to buses. The century center was talked about as a possible bus stop also, I received an email later in the day and the century center will not be used.  

               

Metronet:   Metronet will get with Pemberton Davis on reconnecting the WIFI on Main Street to see what poles are available. The Hand hole at Jefferson and Saint Joe has been lowered.

1             Upcoming work for the week: finish paving the west side of Saint Joe, and start demoing the east side of Saint Joe. Work on placing the stone between the curb and side walk, Continue to pour concrete crosswalks as they become available. Pemberton Davis will work on foundations and conduit on Main and on the west side of Saint Joe.

2             Western And Main South West Corner: Is under redesign we will minimize the work at that intersect until we have further direction.

3             Water line patch on Main at Monroe: This patch will be done when the Robert Henry work is done. The North bound lane will be milled out to center line from south of the Leak to just north of Monroe Street. Get the Striping grooved that will be damaged.

  

4             Strain Poles and cabinets due in; November 7^th.

                                                               i.      Schedule please: Reith Riley and Pemberton Davis will work on it.

                                                              ii.      Schedule for Bronson for Rail Road; Pemberton Davis will get a work plan

                                                            iii.      Angela status: will be completed next week, North Shore done Wednesday.

5             LaSalle and Saint Joe South east corner: will need a temporary foundation and pole placed in order to do the roadwork.

6            Colfax and Main North West corner: the strain poles will need to be set at LaSalle and Colfax first in order to get the roadwork done by the 15^th. In addition, Washington and Jefferson may have to go to two-way stops. This is due to the late arrival of the strain Poles

7            Saigon Parking lot: Reith riley will get it on the schedule for next week

8             Parking lot between Jefferson and Wayne: Will work on it when they do Saigon

9             Striping the side streets: we want to move forward with restriping all the side streets this year.

10         Cross traffic does not stop signs: have been ordered and will be placed as soon as they are in.

11         Guardrail Status: It is on hold Structure point is working on it with the railroad.

12         Next meeting every other week: Meet on the 4^th due to the upcoming holidays.

Need someone to look at tree placement along Main Street.

1.       Traffic Closure Updates

A.           Bronson and South Street: South Street opened yesterday and Bronson Street will remain closed to the east of Main until November 15^th.

B.           Colfax/Jefferson/Washington/Wayne: side streets will see minor delays only when work takes place on the corners. Washington will close in 2 weeks when woodruff is back in to do the structure at Washington and Main.

C.       Saint Joe: Saint Joe will remain 1 lane until November 15^th and the side                           streets will see delays of 20min while concrete curb is being poured next week.

                                               

C.           Michigan and Main will open today from Sample to Ewing and Main Street will open tomorrow from Sample to Marion for two-way traffic.

Utility Relocation Issues:

AEP:  

Robert Henry:  Robert Henry and AEP will be redoing the schedule for Michigan Street from Washington to Western. They will work from the North to the South. Trying to work on Washington while it is closed with JMS. The intersection of Monroe and Main will need to be worked on that time is yet to be determined.

Comcast: 

                AT&T:     The Main hole in the parking Stall between Colfax and Washington was determined to be an old Steam vault. The casting will be removed and the vault filled in with flowfill.

Water Dept:     The water department needs to adjust some valves at the intersection Jefferson Wayne and LaSalle on Saint Joe. A meeting on sight Monday will be held to review the traffic control. The water dept. would also like a no left turn be placed at the office at Colfax and Main St. Drive up window.

Transpo:   Wants to make sure the timings on the signals at South and Bronson on Michigan is being addressed.

Stakeholder Questions: Larry would like the block moved from in front of the door to the building that sets on Madison east of Michigan.

Action Items

               

1           Upcoming work for the week: continue to work on the crossings and cycle track on Main Street. Start prepping for blocks and pavers between the curb and cycle track. Continue to work on the traffic and street lighting on Main Street. Pour curb on Saint Joe. Start milling and paving on the 24^th on Michigan from LaSalle working north. Finish up the cross walks and side walk at Chippewa.

2           Cross Walks/completed on Main: Reith riley will try to complete the cross walk on Main Street and they Maintain cross walks on Saint Joe.

3           Signs/ status/speed limit Change order: Pemberton davis will remove signage and place new signs on the opened portions as quickly as possible.

       

4           Light pole footer claim /change order: The claim will be reviewed and responded to in writing at the first of next week. No penalties will be enforced due to the lighting not being completed as long as Pemberton Davis continues to work on it and it is completed as soon as possible.

5           Oct. 15 expectations and penalties: Stop bars, turn arrows, lane lines, Cross walks and traffic signals on Main St. with the exception of Bronson are all up and functioning. No penalties will be enforced on Main Street obligations have been met.

6           Strain Poles and cabinets due in: Division A is expecting the Cabinets in around November 1. Division B Pemberton Davis is expecting the Strain poles and cabinets in the second week of November. A meeting will take place one day next week to look at the constructability of the LaSalle and Michigan Corner and keep traffic signals working. I will forward on a signed copy of the change order to Reith Riley and Martell.

7           Next meeting every other week: The next Progress Meeting will be held in two weeks on a trial bases.

                                               

Reith Riley Construction Concerns/Questions:

Reith riley would like to get portions of the contract substantially complete before winter and give them back to the City.

City Concerns/Questions:

Need to look at the ped head at Main and Ewing pole appears in the way.                             

Make sure stripping on side streets is placed correctly (Jefferson is incorrect)

A.       Bronson and South Street: Bronson Street east of Main will remain closed after the 15^th due to the traffic pole on Saint Joe is to go to Bronson and cannot be removed until the strain poles are in a right turn only will be implemented on Bronson going east bound west of Main along with a stop sign.

B.       Colfax/Jefferson/Washington/Wayne: Reith Riley will try to minimize the closures on the side streets but it will be difficult to do while paving and milling takes place.

Utility Relocation Issues:

AEP:  

Robert Henry:  Has a few casting to adjust to grade on Main. They will have to coordinate with Reith Riley when they can do their work on Main threw the intersection of Monroe. This will happen when the guardrail gets set on Main between Bronson and South Street. This will happen after Main Street is paved and open to two-way traffic, causing the new Asphalt to be patched.

NIPSCO/InfraSource:  They will be in to do the brick at the Leighton Plaza once the cycle track is placed   

            

Comcast:  No Show

                AT&T:     No show, they got the work on Main and Jefferson northeast corner done and the alley between Jefferson and Wayne west side of Main done.

Water Dept:    will work with Reith Riley to get the structures on Saint Joe adjusted.

The water department would also like to get a right turn only sign added at their drive at Colfax and Main.

Transpo:      The drive on South Street is now open

Stakeholder Questions: Larry from the Hospital requested a service walk be placed between Navarre and Marion where the drive way was removed. To get people from the parking lot to the sidewalk. He also asked about the crosswalk signs that are not functioning. Pemberton Davis is still trying to get the Manufacture to correct the problem.

1           Upcoming work for the week: Reith Riley plans on Paving and striping Main Street from LaSalle to South Street. Finishing the curb and Header curb and Pave drain and working on the Cycle track in that area. They also plan on doing removals on Saint Joe and starting structures on Saint Joe west side between LaSalle and Wayne. Pemberton Davis will work on the street Lighting and Signal.

2           Cross street closure: side streets will be closed as the paving takes place and they will open them as soon as possible.

3           Cross Walks: Need to be kept accessible to the pedestrian traffic. When the traffic markings are placed the ladder markings can be done later.

4       Signs/ status: Pemberton Davis has the signs in their yard. The city would like the bar code placed on the signs as they are placed.       

5       Paver band change order: is in the hands of Reith Riley.

6       Light pole footer claim /change order: The claim needs to be rewrote to include the east side grade changes. Once the claim is resolved, the change order will be signed.

            7       Oct. 15 expectations and penalties: The City wants all traffic control devices functioning north of Marion. They want Asphalt and markings between Marion and Ewing. they want the signage up.

            8       Main to Bronson Guardrail/sidewalk: The guardrail at Bronson and South cannot be completed until after the two-way traffic is open. Which will result in a detour of 5 days when the guardrail company gets the material.
